Arkansas Department of Health Services (ADHS) held a toy drive for foster children in December 2019.  U.S. Probation and Pretrial Services, Eastern District of Arkansas staff contributed along with other federal agencies. Donations consisted of toys, activity games, watches, gloves, back packs, athletic balls, and socks/gloves/hat sets to name a few. 

ADHS was very appreciative.  They have a room in their building for donations and said federal employees doubled what they had already collected in their donation room.

Many foster children do not have a foster home and live in group homes.  There are times the children pack their belongings in a trash bag since they do not have a backpack and/or luggage.

As you are out shopping remember to look for any great markdowns or sales and pick up a few things for foster children and donate to ADHS.
