Q: I owe restitution for my crime. Who do I pay?

Answer

All checks and money orders should be payable to the Clerk, United States District Court, 600 West Capitol Avenue, Room A149, Little Rock, AR 72201-3325. Please note if the payment is for fine, restitution, or special assessment fee, include the docket number and defendant name in your case. Payments may also be made by cash, Visa, or MasterCard, when accompanied with proper identification.

Q: I am owed court-ordered restitution, who do I contact to get my money?

Answer

The U.S. Probation Office is not authorized to release information regarding payments received and distributed by criminal defendants. Please contact the U.S. District Court Clerk at 600 W. Capitol Ave., Little Rock, AR 72201 or 501-604-5351 for information if you believe you are owed court-ordered restitution.

Q: How do I get a certified copy of a document?

You may request a certified copy of a document by contacting the U.S. District Court Clerk at 600 W. Capitol Avenue, Room A149, Little Rock, AR 72201 or 501-604-5351.

Q: Where can I get information regarding child support?

Answer

For information regarding child support, call your state’s Department of Health and Human Services. In Arkansas, you can contact Arkansas Child Support Clearinghouse at 866-428-8382.

Q: I have a friend/family member who is in prison. How do I find out where he is being held?

Answer

If your friend/family member was convicted in federal court, they most likely are held in a prison operated by the Federal Bureau of Prisons. To find out which prison they are assigned and how you can visit or send mail, please go to the Bureau of Prisons website at www.bop.gov.

Q: I want to report a possible violation of probation/supervised release. Do you have a tip line?

Answer

The U.S. Probation Office does not have a tip line. However, if you are aware of someone who has committed a crime, please contact your local police department immediately. After notifying your local police department, call (501) 604-5240 between 8:00AM and 5:00PM, and ask to speak to the duty officer if you believe the individual may be under federal supervision.
